Dear Prospective Renter,

I want to thank you for inquiring about our Springriver rentals. They are truly a gem. Please review our site. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me through email or by telephone anytime.

At this time there are openings for either the cabin or the cottage. However, my policy is that a rental is not considered reserved until receipt of the security deposit and lease agreement. It is usually not a problem, but at this time of year many people are inquiring.

The property and the surrounding lakes have a long history in my family. In 1994 we gifted most of the property to the State of Maine for a preserved land reserve. We kept the peninsula where the three cabins are located.

Springriver Lake and the other surrounding lakes, ponds, and mountains are minimally developed if developed at all. Our peninsula has several private beaches within a couple minutes walking distance. Directly in front of both of the rental cabins is a 1000-foot soft sandy beach with beautiful swimming. Each cabin sets on opposite ends of the beach allowing for considerable privacy.

The surrounding area is an undiscovered wilderness. The hiking is incredible with tremendous views of Downeast Maine and Acadia National Park. There are many remote lakes and ponds snuggled in the hills that provide total privacy. In addition, Acadia National Park is only a short drive away and can easily be visited for a day or afternoon.

The cabins are fully furnished and decorated in cabin style, yet comfortable. They are very clean and well maintained with electricity and plumbing. They are heated by large fireplaces and kitchen wood stoves which can also be used to cook on (camp cooking). The kitchens have a full gas stove and oven, electric refrigerator and several kitchen appliances. The one -bedroom cabin has a screened porch and the two-bedroom cottage has an open porch. Both are private and a perfect place to relax.

These cabins and property are very dear to my family. We intend to keep them fairly private. There is a mile long dirt drive that is gated at the entrance. The gate is for added privacy and security. You of course will be provided with all the necessary keys and directions if you choose to visit.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you,
